Here at the Chi Deuteron chapter of Phi Gamma Delta we have been blessed by hard working and devoted graduate brothers that give back to the house and aid us in our pursuit of excellence. Our graduate brothers fully understand the meaning of “NOT FOR COLLEGE DAYS ALONE” and their work can be seen at house corporation meetings, Board of Chapter Advisors meetings, and Pig Dinner.
Forty-Six Years at Kansas State and we certainly have lots for which to be thankful and to celebrate. Our 48th Pig Dinner will be held this April at the Kansas State Alumni Center. Pig Dinner is an annual alumni dinner held by all Phi Gamma Delta chapters. Pig Dinner serves to welcome graduate brothers back to their undergraduate chapters. It is the longest continually running, chapter-based, annual Graduate event in the world of fraternities and sororities.
The house corporation here at Chi Deuteron is a group of graduate brothers who own and maintain the property of the chapter house along with overseeing operations of the undergraduate chapter. The house corporation meets quarterly under the direction of house corps president. The house corporation has funded many improvements to our chapter house at 1919 Hunting Avenue. Some of the improvements that house corporation have provided recently are a new roof, restructuring of the fire sprinklers in the kitchen, and installation of a corporate office style high-speed internet system.
Board of Chapter Advisors
The Board of Chapter Advisors is composed of graduate brothers who advise the undergraduate members in all areas of chapter operation. Each board member typically focuses his expertise in a distinct area of chapter life (graduate relations, operations, pledge education, and finances) and deals directly with the correlating chapter officer or committee chairman. As a board, members serve as a supporting cast to the chapter officers and the Purple Legionnaire, who is the chapter’s immediate advisor in anything that they may need.
