The Chi Deuteron chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at K-State involves itself in many events both on campus and off. The men host the largest grossing philanthropy at the University, and participate in many events held by other sororities and fraternities. Our most noteworthy philanthropy is our annual Fiji Run,an event that brothers look forward to year round. Our chapter partners up with the Pi Deuteron chapter at KU to run the game ball for the KSU-KU football game, during which we raise money from graduate brothers and local sponsors alike. Each year the philanthropy raises a large sum for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, last year it was the top overall philanthropy among all Greek houses. Along with our money raising efforts, we do a number of activities on campus that are extremely fun and anticipated. One of which is our “Sibling Rivalry” with our sister sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. During this all day event we compete with the ladies in various activities and ending the day with a barbecue back at the house. The men took home the trophy at this year’s Sibling Rivalry, the first time in many attempts.

A couple of our more noteworthy events throughout the year are our annual Frank B. Norris Pig Dinner, and Islander Week. Our Pig Dinner is held every year in the spring, during which a larger number of alumni from our chapter come back for the weekend to socialize and visit the house. It is a great opportunity to get in touch with brothers that live all over the United States, and for the undergraduates to enjoy stories about the long lasting benefits graduates have enjoyed from the house, and some of the fun things they did during their college days. Our last event of the year is our Islander Week. It is a week long event that our chapter hosts every year in the spring semester, each day has a specific event that is meant to bring the brothers of the house together with the senior class one final time. The end of the week ends with an event at our house and an all-day celebration at the lake. With all of the events that the Fiji house participates in, there is no doubt that the experiences from within this Fraternity will be remembered for years to come.
